Los Deftones son una banda de rock estadounidense formada en Sacramento, California, en 1988. Compuesta por Chino Moreno (voz), Stephen Carpenter (guitarra), Abe Cunningham (batería) y Chi Cheng (bajo, fallecido en 2013), el grupo alcanzó la fama internacional gracias a su sonido caracterizado por una mezcla de metal alternativo, shoegaze y post-rock. Después de años de conciertos locales y el lanzamiento de su primer EP "The Deftones", firmaron con Maverick Records en 1995. Su álbum debut, "Adrenaline", fue un éxito inmediato, consolidando su lugar en la escena musical underground.
